Creative Lounge Nights at The Maco Theater are all about relaxing your mind, learning new skills, making something to take home, and sipping on drinks. Each night comes with a different experience: whether an instructor led class, an open choose-your-own craft kit format, or a multi-week series. Join local Iron Range artist Ketty Goerdt, originally from Peru, for a guided ceramic pottery painting class celebrating this meaningful holiday. As you paint one of Ketty’s handcrafted ceramic pieces, she’ll share the history and significance of Día de los Muertos, a cherished tradition that honors and remembers loved ones through art, color, music, and celebration.

No experience is necessary. Ketty will guide you every step of the way, making this a welcoming evening for beginners and experienced artists alike.
